The P4 pupils had a great World War II day at the Palace Stables. They made their own identity label and card with Sylvia and learnt so much from Paul on other aspects of the War. They also met Mr Smith the evacuation officer who explained about rationing, the Anderson shelter and showed the underground tunnel with the blackout curtains. They then met Colonel Shephard a GI soldier who showed everybody how to stand to attention. On return to school everybody was able to decode the secret message which Colonel Shephard gave us using a cipher wheel. A great day was had by everybody.
