The Primary 1 children engaged in making their own treasure maps, making sure they had different landscapes such as mountains, forests and rivers/ ponds. They worked well as part of a group to make their treasure maps and talk about the different features. They were then tasked with finding all the pirate treasure using their treasure map word sheet. They had to find the gold dabloons with words on them and match them to their treasure sheet. They also had to use their sounds to read the extra words on the sound clouds and record themselves reading the word. They had a great time making their treasure maps and hunting for treasure. They had a great time programming beebot around the treasure map to find the treasure.
