The Primary 5, 6 and 7 children from Our Lady’s Primary School recently performed the Disney classic, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in Tullysaran Community Centre.
Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a young prince who is cursed by a mysterious enchantress to having the appearance of a monstrous beast. His only hope is to love a young woman and her love in return in order to redeem himself from the curse.
The children performed the tale brilliantly, displaying great confidence and creativity in their roles. Seventy-one children were involved in the production, with the main cast with very long scripts to learn in preparation for the live performances. Mr. Mc Kee, Principal, said, ‘All the children performed magnificently and were a credit to their parents and staff who had prepared them for the show.’
