It was a cold and frosty start to our Ditch the Dark Day activities on Friday but the weather didn’t stop us as we had a huge turnout at Edenderry before we actively travelled to school. Milltown Road was never as busy as we made our way down to school with the adults glad to receive a warm drink on arrival to school and the children delighted to receive a tasty breakfast.
The pupils had great fun throughout the day playing, scooting, cycling around our school grounds during play times and we raised an amazing £400 for ‘Autobits & Bubba’s Mission Christmas’.
Thanks to everyone for their support especially our school cook Briege, Kerry and Anna our kitchen staff, Rosie our caretaker, Berni our secretary, for preparing and serving the refreshments/food and all the staff who assisted with our walk to school. Thanks to all our parents who travelled with their children to school on Friday and to everyone who made a donation. Thank you and Well done 👍
