Collins have provided us with a free link to their Big Cat reading e-books. These books are organised into reading bands similar to the books that have been sent home to most children in P1-P4 (P5-P7 and some P4 children may have received novels).
Just check the reading level that your child(ren) is/are reading at (You can do this by checking the colour of the books that have been sent home or email your child's teacher). You can then click the matching colour on Big Cat reading e-books and your child(ren) will have access to a range of books that they can read or can be read to them. You could also click on the level below to further develop their fluency and enjoyment of reading.
This is an excellent resource as many of our school books are Oxford Reading Tree (we do have some Big Cat Reading Books) so there shouldn't be any overlap with your child(ren)'s reading.
How to access free Collins Big Cat ebooks
Access 330+ free KS1 ebooks from our primary reading programme
Go to Collins Connect and click on the Teacher portal and enter:
Username: parents@harpercollins.co.uk
Password: Parents20! and click Login.
You should then click on 
and this will bring into the e-books. All you have to do is select a level and click on one of the e-books. It will download. We hope that you find this resource useful and your child(ren) enjoy the books. It could help with the bedtime story.
