During the month of June our Primary 7 children have played Gaelic football and camogie/hurling games against children from: Our Lady’s and St. Mochua’s, Derrynoose, St. Malachy’s, Armagh and St. Jarlath’s, Blackwatertown. The games were arranged as part our activities to celebrate 50 years of Cumann na mBunscol, who oversee the organisation of Gaelic Games at Primary School level across Ireland. We would like to congratulate all the children on their excellent performances and thank O’Connells, Tullysaran for the use of their pitches and facilities. Thanks also to everyone who assisted with the organisation of the games. We hope that these experiences will encourage the children to play Gaelic games and go on to represent their Clubs and maybe their Counties in the future.
