Our Lady's Christmas Carol Service
Dear Parents/Guardians
Please see attached our Invitational poster for our upcoming Carol Services on Wednesday 17th December.
We have two Shows planned so everyone can attend and enjoy our Christmas Performances! Both will be held in the Church. Please see some important details below:
First Show: Wednesday 10.30am
This show offers parents/shiftworkers/grandparents/extended family members the opportunity to attend the Carol Service and recall the Nativity Story at a convenient time during the day. There should be adequate seating for all and there will be tea/coffee served afterwards in the Community Centre).
Second Show: Wednesday 7.00pm
There will most likely be a large attendance at this show.
Seating is limited to approximately 300 people in addition to our pupils.
(There is no guarantee of getting a seat due to the large crowd expected). If you are taking younger siblings to the performance, we would ask that they sit on your knee so as to allow as many adults to be seated as possible).
If you are able to attend the morning performance, we would recommend that you do so - as seating will be much more available at this time.
SOME GUIDELINES FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Following the evening performance, we would ask that parents/guardians ensure the safe exit/movement of their own children from the Church to their cars. Teachers will issue instructions to parents for the safe collection and exit of pupils, class by class, after the performance.
- Parking will be available in the Community Centre Car Park / Football Field entrance and along the pavements surrounding the school and Chapel. (Please remember that residents will need access to/from their properties too - so be mindful of parking across entrances).
- Pupils should wear Christmas Jumpers or something red/green for both Performances.
- Any photos/videos taken by parents should not be shared on social media accounts as we have some pupils who don't have parental consent to appear on platforms. (There will be school photos/videos taken on the night anyway and these will be shared on our School Website for everyone to view - so you can sit back and relax and just enjoy the children's performance in real-time, without having to worry about recording it!)
- No food/drinks should be taken into the church for consumption during the performance, as the Church must be kept tidy for Christmas. We must all remember to respect that it is a Sacred Space.
Thank you for your support.
