Reception and Primary 1 children enjoyed becoming Polar Explorers and learning all about penguins, polar bears and other arctic animals. They explored the North and South Pole and learned how animals adapt to the weather conditions, what they like to eat and how they keep warm. They had great fun building igloos with sugar cubes and exploring the properties of ice by melting and freezing.
